I was so anxious to eat that i didnt even take a picture . I got the Fire Roasted Beef and omg i love it! And the sandwich was huge! It took me two days to finish it. I had to cute it into four different pieces. The shop itself is small, a little cozy mom and pops. Their service is fast, we came early but it gets busy later on in the day. Honestly the best sandwich place and well worth the price

I wanted to order some sandwiches at 10am on a Sunday morning, which I thought wouldn't be a particularly busy time. I was wrong! It took me five tries just to get someone on the phone to take my order. Once I got to the restaurant, I could see why. There was a long line out the door! And there were consistently phone orders coming in, such that the cashier didn't even have a moment to ring up my order. I recommend placing a phone order. The line is very long, and the sandwiches I ordered over the phone were ready for pickup after only 20 minutes. I usually order a pastrami sandwich, but this time I went with the chicken bacon ranch. It was delicious. Would definitely order this again. I always get my sandwiches on Dutch Crunch bread. I also have to remember to request no mustard and no hot pepper sauce, since those come standard. Next time, I'd like to try the BLTA.

Little Lucca's reputation precedes itself and we can only add more praise as this is definitely one of the best, if not the best sandwich shops in the Bay Area! We arrived on a weekday before the lunch rush and there was still a line out the door. The line went by relatively quick and we were able to get our sandwich within 20 minutes. We ordered the Lucca Combo sandwich on Dutch Crunch which had provolone, mortadella, and salami and it was definitely more than enough for two people. They do not skimp on the ingredients and tasted super fresh as well. The sandwich was amazing and did not taste dry at all with their amazing garlic and hot pepper sauces, which were definitely a highlight for me. The Dutch Crunch bread was a tiny bit harder than I prefer, but still fantastic nonetheless. For the price, it'd be hard to find a better sandwich place than Little Lucca's! Little Lucca's is an iconic sandwich shop that is a must visit and we will definitely be back!

Heard so much about this place and finally came in on a Saturday. It's a small take out spot by a busy street. The line was sooo long. We were there for a good amount of time that we figured what was kinda stopping them from moving faster (it's the microwaves lol) Anyway, the size of the sandwiches can fit two people. Lots of options to choose from too. Get the dutch crunch and garlic sauce!

This has been on my list for so long and finally gave it a try! Stopped by a little before 11am on a Wednesday. Luckily it wasn't as busy in the beginning but more people started coming in a little after. They had about 3-4 people taking orders. You see them make the sandwiches and they're so efficient! I tried the fire roasted steak, generous portions and a big sandwich overall! Dutch crunch is my go-to for sandwiches, so it was a must try here. I usually prefer the bread more toasted for that extra crunch but it was still so good. This sandwich is definitely on the saucier side from the dressing, so it got a little messy. I saved half to eat the next day and put it in the air fryer - extra good! Workers are friendly. We told them it was our first time and they gave us recommendations to try for next time. We were told the southwestern was one of their favorites and to try the tri tip special with bacon jalapeño. Pretty small inside, so it can get pretty cramped if people start piling in. No tables available for dine-in, so we just ate outside at the car. They have a decent sized parking area! Definitely will be back to try the other sandwiches. I can understand and confirm what the hype is all about!

The best sandwiches in South San Francisco: Little Lucca! This place is usually packed with a line out the door, but we decided to shoot our shot since it was raining and hoped there wouldn't be a line and luckily it wasn't that long! Everything is made to order in front of you and you can add what you'd like. They have a garlic and hot pepper sauce which are sooo good and a must get. They definitely don't skimp on the add ins and both our sandwiches came out packed and HUGE! We were able to save and eat the other half for dinner haha It's a really nice place to grab a sandwich and maybe head over to the beach or somewhere nice to enjoy. We ended up taking it home and decided to toast it a bit and it was perfection. Next time you're in South San Francisco and looking for a sandwich, come check out Little Lucca! Everyone was so nice and patient even with a rush.

I'm a sandwich girly, always will be! Only thing bad about this spot is the fact the place is small and the lines are long! But the sandwiches! OMG One sandwich stacked up and big enough to feed 2 people! The prices are worth it for what you get! The crew inside is quick and efficient for sure, order ahead by phone or doordash. Because the line gets loooooooooong! I felt like chicken parm today, on sourdough with the works. Extra garlic and pepper spread of course . My bread was crispy yet soft, definitely didn't get soggy considering the mountain of items on it. Chicken = stacked! Cheese = stacked! The flavors were there, and I love that they shred their lettuce and onions thinly. Makes for an all around better flavor. Little Lucca definitely does not disappoint!! Barely through one half of this sandwich as I type this!

I have been hearing about this place from one of my co-workers for years because he lived in San Mateo and went the often. I finally got to try them. I got a smoked turkey, roast beef, bacon and avocados with everything and of their garlic sauce and sourdough roll. 1st, this sandwich came out massive, over a pounds I think. They give you a healthy amount of meat and all fresh. 1st bite into the sandwich was amazing, never had anything like it. Best sandwich I ever had!!! I differently coming back.

No line on a weekday, really hungry, going to Little Lucca was an easy decision. Went for a classic this time around, and ordered the turkey, bacon, and pepper jack cheese on a soft sour roll. While the sandwich is good, it's carried by their pesto sauce and pepper spread. The turkey meat quality is middy, but it does what it needs to do. If you look closely at the menu, they offer boar's head for some of their meat options, so next time I'm going to look for those or stick with the tri-tip or fire roasted steak cesar. Per usual, the sandwiches were quite large. The sheer size of these sandwiches make it worth the nearly $20 (after tax n tip) you are going to spend for a sandwich that you can easily turn into two meals. I'm not the biggest fan of their sour rolls, the dutch crunch is hit or miss, but after I ordered I realized they offer Italian Rolls now, which is definitely something I'm going to try next time around. Little Lucca is still a staple in SSF and is definitely a spot worth checking out if you craving enormously large deli sandwiches.
